Why is your company called "Ancient Gates"?
The inspiration for Ancient Gates Services began in Lucknow, a city full of old buildings and gates. In many areas of Old Lucknow, entry into a community or neighborhood is signified by an elaborate gateway at the entrance to that community. Walking through these gates represents walking deeper into the culture and history of this charming city, off the beaten path and into the lives of its people. That is the type of experience we strive to accommodate, which is why we feel that Ancient Gates Services is the perfect name for our company.
Do you book airline travel?
While we are happy to consult on airline travel and itineraries, sharing any tips or personal experiences we've picked up along the way, we are not a travel agency and do not directly handle bookings.
Does the cost of my service package include food?
Unless you have selected an immersion experience that is specifically related to food (a culinary tour or cooking experience), you will need to pay for your meals out of pocket. We are able to offer an array of suggestions based on budget and cuisine preferences.
Who would benefit from your services?
Our services are very versatile and can serve a wide array of travelers. We can accommodate vacationing tourists, global nomads, cultural adventure seekers, business people, and more. If you need help navigating, succeeding in, or enjoying the culture, we can help.
Are you a tourism company?
While our services include tourism opportunities, we offer much more than simply tourism. This is why we refer to ourselves as a "service." We seek to provide our clients with culture-related services that meet a broad array of needs. These needs may include tourism-related activities, but they may also include anything from fulfilling college internships to business setup logistics.
Where do you currently offer services?
We are a USA-based company that currently offers most of its services in India. While most of what we offer is in Lucknow, India, we can also connect you with cultural services and experiences in Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, and various South Indian locations.
